My understanding is that there are three stages in thinking about H+ issues:

1. Vision - self-improvement is cool, humans should really turn into something better some time
2. Realisation - that this time is now. Explaining to people that their linear models of progress are outdated, that the question of whether humans should live forever is not even going to be asked, that Singularity is near, that robots will really do everything, that AI was not a scam, that nanotech will indeed make everything free, etc.
3. Implementation - thinking about risks, fantasizing about Jupiter brains, Singularity, rights of robots, etc.

As I see it, transhumanist organisations/movements/people today mostly pay little attention to the stage 2. And I think that strategically spreading Future literacy (working at "stage 2") is the most interesting for us today, because it's where people would be most interested to listen.
